Covid-19 Virus announcement.
WE ARE OPEN BUT WORKING DIFFERENTLY!
Following the government’s announcement on Monday 23rd March to further restrict person to person contact we have now had to modify how the practice will operate over the coming weeks.
The health and wellbeing of our patients is paramount and whilst we had already put a number of measures in place to protect our patients and staff, we have now been instructed to suspend all routine eye care appointments. For those of you who are due a routine appointment we look forward to welcoming you back into the practice once this crisis is over and would urge you to follow the government advice and to stay safe during this difficult period. In the meantime, we are able to provide basic GOS services and can take phone calls to deal with most queries regarding your eye health, spectacles, contact lenses and related products. If you require a fresh supply of contact lenses or a spectacle repair, we will as always do our best to help so please call us on the usual number. As we are unsure when the restrictions will be lifted, we are unable to take routine bookings at this time and would ask you to bear with us and we will contact you once the situation is back to normal.
If you develop any of the following symptoms flashing lights, floaters, sudden loss of vision, or acute red eye, please call the practice number in the first instance and we will triage and refer on as appropriate. Out of hours please call 0330 1004730 – only use this number if you are suffering these symptoms.
In the meantime, please follow government advice and stay at home where possible and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
